British indie-rock band The Ariston have unveiled their latest single Fiction to be released on Friday, 7th November 2025 through Right Track Records.

Fiction is the biggest track to date for the London-based band, drawing inspiration from Catfish & The Bottlemen, Nothing But Thieves, Inhaler and Arctic Monkeys.

Written and recorded in just one week, Fiction was born mid-studio session when frontman Luca began experimenting with an idea that immediately caught producer Jamie Brown’s attention. “What’s that? We need to record that now,” he said.

Lyrically, the single explores Luca’s experience in show business - the constant feeling of not fitting in and being easily replaced. It also carries a double meaning, touching on relationships and the struggle of never feeling enough.

“This track came together fast - from writing to the studio in about a week. Then it all just fell into place. It felt natural and honest, like we were all locked into the same sort of feeling. Will came up with this groovy bassline that gave the chorus its lift, and from there, everything just exploded with energy,” explains the band.

The single is the latest in The Ariston’s new era, where they have recently started working with Matt Hill at Hillomatic Music under their management, whilst preparing to celebrate their fourth anniversary in November with a headline show at London’s 229 by arrangement with This Feeling, followed by a documentary to follow later this year. The band have also had a host of big support slots recently, with the latest supporting American outfit Smallpools at London’s Scala and The Lottery Winners in Bristol.

Pre-save the single now.

The Ariston, an indie/alternative band formed and fronted by Luca Slade and Will Parsonson (bass) in 2021, later to be joined by Finn Bunce (drums), creates deeply emotional music rooted in vulnerability and personal growth. Their lyrics explore themes of heartbreak, grief, and identity, offering a cathartic experience for their fans, known as 'The Aristans'.

We have supported The Ariston for a number of years, and the band made our Ones To Watch List of 2024 following their huge single, The Festival. In our review, we praised their ability to crack the indie formula and said that ‘The Ariston could become part of the next generation of bands, carrying the torch of late 2010s indie rock.’

Get tickets to The Ariston’s show at 229 now, the final few remain here.
