The group are also playing at Primavera Sound alongside Wet Leg, Mac DeMarco, Ethel Cain and many more in June, which is based in Barcelona.
While Massive Attack hasn’t released music since 2020, they have remained in the public eye, using their platform for important activism.
They recently joined over 400 artists in backing the ‘No Music For Genocide Campaign’, which was a large-scale effort of pulling music from streaming platforms in Israel in response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Massive Attack went one further and removed music from Spotify everywhere after CEO Daniel EK was reportedly investing upwards of £500million in Helsing, a company building drones and AI for the military.
The question on everyone’s mind is: When will new music arrive for Massive Attack? And the answer is, probably sooner than you think. In recent interviews and articles, the group have teased sitting on years’ worth of material. Maybe we’ll see those tracks very soon.
