Following the success of previous single Hounds, which felt like a perfect blend of Wolf Alice and Newdad, Dublin’s finest new trio For Nina have returned with a deeper dive into shoegaze on Swallow.

Swallow takes their sound to a new dimension, opening up a realm of musical possibilities for the future. This more thoughtful and considered songwriting approach paid off, and the direct contrast with Hounds is impressive.

The band explained:

"‘Swallow’ generally spins around ideas of self-sabotage and biting your tongue. In some ways, it’s about lots of different things all at once and different people have attached their own meaning to it - which we find really lovely to hear."

The band are stopping here, either, with a music video on the horizon to support the launch. Swallow is a wake-up call to anyone who’s sleeping on the rising artist. For us, it signals that there’s a lot on the horizon for this band.

Catch the single on all streaming platforms now.
