Weekly Roundup #80
Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.
Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?
This Is The Killer Speaking - The Last Dinner Party
From The Pyre, due out in October, is the sophomore record from one of the UK’s hottest groups The Last Dinner Party. The new track expands their theatrical and medieval universe, with the band explaining: “this record is a collection of stories, and the concept of album-as-mythos binds them. ‘The Pyre’ itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate, a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light.”
Harley - Master Peace
Master Peace is having an enormous year, releasing track after track and playing shows on a relentless touring schedule. But, it’s all paying dividends, as he makes strides at becoming indie’s next big thing. New one Harley is another indie banger, and released at the perfect time too: Summer.
Suntrap - Diveboy
Produced by award-winning producer Ruadhrí Cushnan (Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons), Suntrap marks an exciting new chapter for Diveboy, who have also just been announced for All Together Now. It’s a glowing indie rock track full of buzz, heart and soul. Well worth a listen.
Anton - Iona Zajac
Touring vocalist with The Pogues Zajac tackles formative experiences with toxic men in brave new single Anton, released last week. Accompanied with a stark music video (here), the track is painful but poetic, and eye-opening for many.
