Weekly Roundup #79

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

Bad Patterns - HEALER

Healer are back with another single, hot off the press from their previous release only last month. Bad Patterns is about waking up inside someone else’s idea of a life — and deciding not to stay there. It feels like modern Britpop, and feels as if it would explode on a live stage.

ALIVE - Songer

Songer have a huge year ahead, including a main stage performance at Reading and Leeds, a Truck Festival stage headliner and what will be his own biggest headline tour to date. Latest single Alive delivers a guitar laden, noughties inspired belter, proving he can really take on just about any beat.

Lover - Odhran Murphy

Following a sold-out performance at Camden Assembly, Murphy has shared another instalment from his forthcoming debut EP Stuck In The Middle. Lover is an emotional anthem that explores a relationship gone sour.

Falling Off - The Marra

Praised by rock royalty himself, Noel Gallagher, The Marra have been one to watch for a while. Arriving as a bold statement, their new track marks the first chapter in the Derry-formed band’s journey, one certain to establish them among the next wave of Ireland’s thriving music scene.

I Dream, A Ground City Slug - Slugman

Hailing from Birmingham, Slugman have been gigging around the scene alongside peers for a while, building their unique fusion of progressive jazz and rock.

Their new single weaves abstract storytelling with a turbulent mixture of jazz and uncertainty.
