Weekly Roundup #73
Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.
Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?
The Rope - Wunderhorse
Coming together quickly in London’s RAK Studios, the spontaneous single follows the same energy in Midas with arguably more uplifting lyrics. The single arrives following their biggest ever headline show at Alexandra Palace and the departure of long-standing bassist Peter Woodwin. You can likely expect Midas (Deluxe) very soon, or preferably an EP bridging the gap between now and the future.
Landmines - Shall I Be Mother
Leicester & Birmingham quartet Shall I Be Mother have returned with their explosive first single of 2025, Landmines. The band celebrated the release with a special launch party at The Victoria in Birmingham, and has just announced a music video. This news implies an EP is on the way for the band, coming back in full force since their string of shows last year.
Zombie - YUNGBLUD
YUNGBLUD is currently preparing to drop his biggest project to date - a double album. The first half is due on 20th June. To mark the occasion, the alt-rock artist has surprised us with a new single, Zombie. The track is about the unsung heroes of the world, and diversifies YUNGBLUD’s genre once again, tapping into his childhood influences.
Shadow Of A Heart - Telebox
After an exhilirating EP last year, Telebox are back at it dropping bangers to their growing following. Shadow Of A Heart is a perfect blend of shoegaze and dramatic indie rock, and shows they’ve come along way over a short space of three years.
Silver Cup - Tuxis Giant
Tuxus Giant, based between Boston and NYC, have spent the last few years building a core following in the DIY music scene. Now, they are here to announce their latest offering, You Won't Remember This, to be released on August 15th.
Their new single, Silver Cup, is an intimate glimpse into this new record.
