Globally celebrated rock star YUNGBLUD has landed his second Number 1 of the year in the UK album charts with One More Time, a collaborative EP with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith.
The news tops off a phenomenal year for the 28-year-old from Doncaster, whose album IDOLS flew to number 1 in June, the day before he headlined The National Bowl in Milton Keynes for BLUDFEST. IDOLS is Harrison’s most ambitious record yet, with a grandiose 9-minute opener Hello Heaven Hello alongside standout tracks inspired by Bowie (Changes), Blur (Lovesick Lullaby), The Verve (Zombie), The Cure (Monday Murder) and Queen (Ghosts) amongst many others.
This summer also saw the artist stun 40,000 fans at Villa Park with a soul-stirring rendition of Black Sabbath’s ‘Changes’. The performance was later released on streaming platforms to raise money for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. This moment propelled YUNGBLUD to a much wider audience, a segment of people who perhaps wouldn’t have listened to the young artist otherwise.
One More Time was a chance-encounter collaboration, after both Aerosmith and YUNGBLUD participated in the final Osbourne show. It marked the first time Aerosmith had made music in the studio in more than 12 years, after a subsequent retirement from touring due to an injury which stunted their last tour. It’s not a collaboration we would have expected, but works wonders with tracks like My Only Angel and Wild Woman.
Speaking about achieving his second UK number 1 of the year, YUNGBLUD said, “No words can express how grateful I am for this…my second number 1 of 2025. Massive love to everyone who supported this record in the name of rock and roll. Aerosmith has been part of the soundtrack to my life. Thank you to Joe and Steven for riding with me - I can’t believe we made a record together!”
In an Instagram post talking about gratitude for such an impressive 2025, Dominic Harrison also teases, “Guess I owe you all IDOLS II now, don’t I?”.
YUNGBLUD is showing no signs of slowing down, as we edge closer to 2026. His arena tour will be making its way to the UK, and IDOLS Part II will come with it.
In November (2025), due to doctor’s orders, YUNGBLUD cancelled the US, Mexico and Latin America leg of his enormous tour. The artist was asked to rest to avoid lasting damage to his health, and after expressing heartbreak over disappointing fans, he refunded tickets and promised to make it up to the cities in 2026 - so expect something soon.
Elsewhere, Australian fans can experience the IDOLS Exhibition between 8th - 11th January, an exclusive exhibition from tour photographer Tom Pallant. More info here.
