KEO are back with a new era, led by the super-charged fan-favourite That’s Me. The single releases this Thursday, 28th May, with a first play on BBC Radio 1.
To support the release, the grunge quartet will appear at the Elephant’s Head in Camden for a free set, which has been rumoured for the last month or so. The band played a surprise show at Brighton’s Great Escape recently, too, in an 80-cap room.
That's Me has been road-tested at their recent run of shows, notably a headline slot at Liverpool’s Sound City. It’s become a staple of their set already.
The track seems to be part of a wider campaign, after the band wiped their socials, implying a new EP or possibly a debut album on the way.
In their email newsletter, the band explain:
The weight of a secret can sometimes be heavier than the result of people knowing it. I didn’t want to drag my guilt around any longer; I felt like I could finally let myself off the hook through writing ‘That’s Me.'
We’ll be celebrating the release at the Elephants Head on Thursday, 28th May. First come, first served. Thanks for sticking around for the ride. We know it’s been a long wait.
See you soon,
Keo
KEO was recently snapped up by Island Records following the success of their independent debut EP and run of sold-out shows. Alongside peers Wunderhorse, Bleech 9:3, Basht and many others, the rock scene is full of fresh energy.
This won’t just be a launch party; it’s the start of something bigger for KEO. Those who have caught rising trailblazers at the Elephant’s Head before know you’re in for a treat. Bleech 9:3 played a special set there recently, with punters surrounding the pub from the street, and the same with Mary In The Junkyard.
