Weekly Roundup #83
Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.
Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?
White Horses - Wolf Alice
Last week, Wolf Alice released their new single White Horses, the third offering from their forthcoming album The Clearing. With every release, the shape of the album becomes clearer than ever, influenced by themes of identity and family. The new record is out 22nd August 2025.
Run It - Figtape
Norwegian shapeshifter Fig Tape is back with “Run It”, a burst of lo-fi indie rock, punk urgency, and electronic haze, and the fourth single from his debut album Forcefed Serenity, out October 24th. Drawing inspiration from the angular energy of bands like Bloc Party and the hazy introspection of DIIV, Fig Tape delivers a track that’s as immediate as it is otherworldly, a restless meditation on identity, modern love, and the need to stay grounded when everything starts to spiral.
Ordinary Creature - Of Monsters and Men
Icelandic indie-folk icons Of Monsters and Men have returned with their new self-produced single, Ordinary Creature. The track follows an announcement of their new album All Is Love And Pain In The Mouse Parade out in October.
The band explain the track below: “Ordinary Creature is about the feeling of yearning for that someone that brings you comfort. It's about when you start feeling better after a period of not feeling so great.
o(type) - Lemondaze
Produced by Matt Glasbey (Alt-J, Sorry), o(type) reframes their early shoegazey dreaminess into something heavier and more visceral, drawing from Deftones and Curve, and steeped in the band's own distinct blend of ache and aggression. This is a class track, and even better sophomore one. Catch the video out now too.
Figuring It Out - Benjamin Steer
Turning down a corporate career for a record deal, Benjamin Steer is here to make his mark with his brand new sophomore EP Figuring It Out. Romantic, vulnerable, and quietly cinematic, the EP captures the emotional chaos of the early 20s, from longing and self-doubt to fleeting clarity.
