Weekly Roundup #67
Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.
Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?
DOLL FACE - Emergency Break
DOLLFACE, the second studio single from Emergency Break, tells the poignant story of Jane, a girl overwhelmed by fleeting online fame. Sonically, it draws influence from 90’s Britpop or more recently, the likes of Wunderhorse. It’s a belter, and definitely one for the live stages - particularly OMEARA, coming up later this Summer.
Stones - Bone Idle
Fuelled by a powerhouse drum line, no-nonsense lyrics and a searing guitar solo, “Stones” marks the start of an exciting year for Berkshire-based indie band Bone Idle. The track feels familiar while introducing devilish charm. They may have made their mark on the local scene, but expect to hear their name more often as they soon grow.
Holding Me Back - Miranda Faul
Irish star-in-the-making Miranda Faul has returned with her latest single, Holding Me Back. The track is making an appearance prior to her upcoming EP, and tells the story of suffocating love. While retaining her beautiful vocals, the track introduces an infectious bass-line inspired by Billie Eilish.
Get Gone - Broncho
Broncho’s first album in 6 years, Natural Pleasure is here, supported by the fuzzy single Get Gone. Broncho have long been a favourite in the indie scene, offering up treasures like Class Historian. This new single, and wider album is a kitchen disco, an escape into a dance-fuelled new world.
