Weekly Roundup #119

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

Perfume - Basht.

After years of waiting, Basht are gearing up to release its debut album this October. Lead single Perfume dropped with the announcement, a dark and nuanced rock tune which stylistically follows in the footsteps of their 2025 EP Bitter & Twisted. If you like what you hear, pre-orders are open already.

For Fans Of: Wunderhorse, KEO, Bleech 9:3

Simple Life - Corella

Corella has proven over the last couple of years that they are a force to be reckoned with on the indie pop/rock scene, particularly in their efforts to create singalong anthems. The Manchester-based group are now taking it up a notch, showing a broader range of influences on their forthcoming album, on heavier tracks like Rewire. The second single, Simple Life, however, harks back to their earworm roots and is a fantastic tune to play out your Spring/Summer.

For Fans Of: Overpass, The Royston Club

The Burden Of Empathy - King No-One

Known for their energetic live shows and hailing from York, King No-One have recently released their debut album. The project has been long-awaited by fans, with the band remaining completely independent and self-funded. The title track is fantastic, resulting in an explosive and theatrical outro which takes you by surprise every time.

For Fans Of: Circa Waves, The Night Cafe

Worst Friend - Lowertown

Lowertown have released the latest offering from their recently announced new album “Ugly Duckling Union”, which is out May 22nd. Lo-fi yet more widescreen and nuanced, the country-tinged track is arguably one of their strongest so far.

For Fans Of: Gorillaz, HighSchool

N26 - NERVES

NERVES have dropped three minutes of pure intensity, bottled up in N26. Depicting the slow erosion of rural Irish towns and that feeling of being stuck while everything thins out around you, the track loudly screams noise-rock. If you’re a fan of IDLES or Gurriers - you’re going to love this one.
