Weekly Roundup #116

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

Kick The Curb - Newdad

Newdad have dropped their first music of 2026, following their sophomore record Altar. In recent months, the Galway-band have parted ways with their major label to have a fresh start. This woozy new number is a great way to start that journey.

For Fans Of: Sorry, Blondshell

Going Shopping - The Strokes

It’s been a hot minute. The last time we heard from The Strokes was during COVID-19, when they emerged with The New Abnormal, their most cohesive effort since 2001’s Is This It.

Now, they’re back. The lead single is experimental, noticeable from an increase in vocal effects. However, it retains The Strokes’ DNA, as the inevitable influence of The Voidz seeps in. We’re looking forward to seeing how it slots into Reality Awaits.

For Fans Of: The Voidz, Cage The Elephant

GREAT PRETENDER - Kasabian

As the second single for Kasabian’s new record, due out in July, they’ve dropped GREAT PRETENDER. It’s a straightforward indie-rock sounding track that makes you get up and dance in the sunshine.

For Fans Of: Circa Waves, The Wombats

All I Did Was Dream Of You - Beabadoobee (ft. The Marias)

A collaboration we didn’t know we needed until now. Beabadoobee’s dreamy new single is a blissful listen and perfect for the Spring. It’s also her first music of 2026 and perhaps a sign of more to come.

For Fans Of: TV Girl, Men I Trust

wishbone - SOFY

Written during a period of burnout, Leicester’s SOFY has dropped wishbone, opening the door to a brand new world for the young artist. It’s a lot darker than previously, pausing the bright and colourful for a gritty and charged-up single.

For Fans Of: Nieve Ella, Swim School
