Weekly Roundup #101
Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.
Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?
Satisfaction Skank - The Rolling Stones, Fatboy Slim
It’s finally here. Slightly belated, but it’s here - one of the world's most bootlegged recordings. In the 2000s, the track spread like wildfire on sites like Napster, but The Rolling Stones had refused to clear it for release. If you know, you know. Get it on.
For Fans Of: Fat Boy Slim, The Prodigy
Damascus - Gorillaz, Omar Souleyman, Yasiin Bey
First being previewed at Brian Eno’s Together For Palestine Show and the House Of Kong gig recently, Damascus has been dropped by Gorillaz. Largely recorded, inevitably in Damascus, the track is a fantastic blend of trip-hop and Arabic hip-hop and comes from their forthcoming record due out late in February 2026.
For Fans Of: Gorillaz
Nightcall - Inhaler (Triple J Version)
Dublin’s Inhaler put forward their Triple J performance a few months back, and have now dropped their cover of Nightcall on streaming. It’s a chilled and mellow take on the track, before building into classic Inhaler by the end, and it fits with the Open Wide era perfectly. The track came with the A-side Hole In The Ground.
